Laurent Proneur, born in 1969 in France, is a pioneering contemporary artist known for his significant contributions to the graffiti movement in Paris during the 1980s. Raised in a family circus with his father as a clown, Proneur developed a unique perspective on life and human behavior, influencing his artistic expression.

 

Initially gaining recognition for his graffiti work, Proneur transitioned to oil painting, allowing for deeper explorations of his subjects. His paintings blend realism and abstraction, capturing the emotional essence of individuals and reflecting his anthropological interests in identity and social dynamics.
